2. What we collect

When you join our mailing list we collect your email address (required) and optionally your first name. Our email provider also records technical data such as signup timestamp and IP address, and tracks email opens and clicks to help us understand engagement.

We do not collect sensitive data. Our list is not directed at children under 16.

3. Why we use your data

We send you updates about our game development, including early demo access notifications. We process your data on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.

4. Email provider

We use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France) as our email service provider. They act as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement and store data within the EU. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

5. Storage and retention

Your data is stored within the EU/EEA. We keep it for as long as you remain subscribed. On unsubscribe or deletion request, your email is removed from our active list promptly. Brevo retains a record of your unsubscribe status to prevent accidental re-subscription. See their Privacy Policy for their retention terms.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. Email privacy@vaaran.com. We will respond within one month.

7. Cookies and embedded content

This website does not use analytics or tracking cookies, and we set no cookies of our own.

Our home page embeds the official Steam store widget from Valve Corporation, showing the Reactor 13 store listing. It is loaded lazily, so nothing is requested from Valve unless you scroll down to it. When it does load, Valve serves that content directly to your browser and may therefore receive your IP address and browser information and set their own cookies, governed by the Steam Privacy Policy. If you are signed in to Steam, the widget lets you add the game to your wishlist without leaving this site. We receive no personal data from this embed.

Links from this site to the Steam store carry campaign tags identifying vaaran.com as the referrer, so we can see how many visits our own site sends to the store. These tags contain no information about you.

We may update this policy. The date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
